About this day nursery

Witham Valley Nursery, located in the heart of Witham on the picturesque riverwalk within the Evangelical Church, Guithavon Valley, provides a nurturing and inclusive family atmosphere where every child is valued. The nursery, which is a registered charity managed by a committee of parents and carers, relocated to its current site in 2014, gaining access to an all-day outdoor garden.

They welcome children aged 2 up to school age, operating term-time only from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. The dedicated team, many of whom have worked together for years and hold childcare qualifications, prioritise ongoing training in areas such as paediatric first aid, safeguarding, and food safety, ensuring they remain current with Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines.

The nursery is committed to supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) through a rich language environment including Makaton and visuals. Proudly rated "Outstanding" by Ofsted in September 2022, Witham Valley Nursery fosters strong communication with parents via the Famly app, sharing observations and important updates.
