Your Co-op Little Pioneers Nursery and Pre-school in Reading is dedicated to fostering an environment where children can flourish from infancy through to school age. Situated within a beautiful, historic church building in the heart of Reading, conveniently close to the train station, the nursery offers four spacious rooms tailored to different age groups.
The approach centres on providing comprehensive support for both children and parents, focusing on children's happiness and development. They offer nurturing experiences, expert educators, and a warm atmosphere to help children build skills and confidence for the future.
The "Pioneering Pathway" curriculum emphasises a "Head Start" journey to ensure a smooth transition into nursery life, promotes "Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds" through activities like Boogie Mites and understanding nutrition, and instils a sense of social responsibility through community engagement. The nursery aims to cultivate independent, resilient, and socially conscious individuals, celebrating diversity and empowering children to express themselves.
The entire team is paediatric first aid trained, holding the Millie's Mark certification, ensuring a safe and secure setting for all.

My son has been attending Co-op Little Pioneers nursery for a couple of months. We're very impressed so far. Staff are lovely and super caring. There's always excellent communication from staff too. There's a big variety of activities offering lots of stimulation and opportunities for him to learn and develop. Thank you to all the staff there! 😊

We enrolled our daughter in this nursery when she was just 9 months old. Like any parent, we were nervous at first, and the initial transition was tough for both of us. However, the staff was incredibly caring and supportive during that time. They went above and beyond to make sure our daughter felt comfortable and settled in. Now, at 3 years old, she absolutely loves it here! Every morning, she is excited to go and has developed great bonds with the teachers and her friends. The staff truly cares for the children and provides a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment. We couldn’t be happier with the progress we’ve seen in our daughter, both socially and academically. Highly recommend this nursery to any parent!

My daughter has recently joined here and really happy she did. This by far stood out to me when visiting numerous nurseries in the area. The staff are super friendly, the building is very modern inside and very spacious. Onboarding and communication with key workers and nursery managers has been great! X

My daughter has just left for school, She has had the best time at little pioneers she had so much fun made lots of friends and has made so many memories here. She has lots of allergies, and they are taken care of really well. The colour coded place mats help to identify allergies and dietary requirements.

Co- op Reading Nursery is absolutely incredible. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. My son has had such wonderful carers in the 18 months that he has been there and they have all played such a key role in his learning and development! Special thanks to Sara, Rhea and Becky :)
