ABC Day Nursery Ltd operates a group of four nurseries in the Telford & Wrekin area, dedicated to providing exceptional childcare since 1993. Each of their settings—Hoo Farm, Hollinswood Primary School, Lightmoor Village, and Hadley Learning Community—has consistently achieved an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted since 2008.
The nurseries embrace The Curiosity Approach, an educational philosophy that emphasises learning through play and encourages children to explore their surroundings with imagination and wonder. This approach, for which ABC Day Nursery was the first accredited nursery in Shropshire, fosters an environment rich with open-ended resources and inspiring experiences tailored to each child's individual needs.
The nursery views children as competent learners, allowing them to lead their own educational journey while staff expertly guide and support their burgeoning ideas. Central to their ethos is a strong parent/carer partnership, valuing family input to deliver the best possible childcare.
They aim to create a stable, stimulating, and homely atmosphere where children feel safe, loved, and relaxed, providing an all-round curriculum that prepares them for school by fostering a lifelong love of learning.

Inspector highlights
Inclusion & environment
Highly effective systems ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are swiftly identified and fully supported; staff work closely with parents and external professionals to create tailored plans and adapt teaching to meet individual needs. Additional funding is used strategically to enhance staffing, resources and the environment so support is sharply focused and consistent.
The inspector observed the quality of teaching and interactions both inside and outdoors.
