Inclusion & environment
Staff support children with special educational needs well, overall. They work hard to swiftly identify those children who require additional support. Staff work closely with outside professional agencies, such as speech and language therapists. However, the manager acknowledges that planning needs to focus more precisely on the individual goals and targets set by other professionals, to maximise children's learning.
Children who speak English as an additional language are supported well. Staff speak other languages in addition to English, such as Urdu. These skills help staff to support children in their learning and help children to catch up quickly with their peers where there are gaps in their learning.
My daughter and myself absolutely love this day nursery the staff are all very supportive of each child’s needs and nothing is too much for them. They give a sense of a second home for the children, they are very loving and caring with warmth and open arms ! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a day care for their child knowing they are in the best and safe hands. My daughter always talks about “pre school house” with a smile from the lasting memories she made there!
Read on GoogleI would strongly advise parents to think very carefully before sending their children to this nursery. When concerns are raised, they are shut down rather than taken seriously, seemingly to protect the nursery’s reputation instead of addressing issues transparently. Children are vulnerable and often unable to fully communicate what happens to them, which makes safeguarding practices especially important. There are serious concerns about staff supervision and boundaries, including situations where male staff members accompany children into toilet areas. This raised significant alarm and was not handled with appropriate clarity or reassurance when questioned. Based on direct experiences and accounts, there are deeply worrying issues with how concerns are managed. I would not recommend this nursery to parents who prioritise their child’s safety and wellbeing.
Read on GoogleWe've been absolutely delighted with Acklam Children's Day Nursery, since our son started attending at 2 years old. The staff are warm, caring, and highly skilled, creating a nurturing environment that has helped him grow into a confident and curious 3-year-old. The activities are engaging, and the facilities are always clean and well-maintained. We appreciate their regular update in regards to my son's daily day activities in the nursery. What impresses us most is the team's ability to tailor their approach to his unique needs and personality. Our son's cognitive development has improved a lot under their strategic plan, moreover in developing his speech development and essential social skills. Acklam Children's Day Nursery is in short trustworthy, supportive, and stimulating environment for their little ones. Highly recommend!
