Inclusion & environment
There is a clear focus on ensuring that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and children who are at risk of falling behind receive prompt support. Staff work in partnership with parents to put targeted plans in place while awaiting professional support from other agencies.
Children have access to a superb natural garden space where risk-taking, swinging and climbing are given high priority and where staff encourage physical skills. Staff add to outdoor experiences, for example encouraging children to use brushes to paint on trees and to flick paint up the tree trunk.
My little boy started here just after his 1st Birthday. He absouletly loves going and has bonded with all the staff beautifully. The staff make any new mum leaving their child for the first time that little bit better easier with sending pictures through tapestry so you can see your child having lots of fun throughout the day at nursery. His development since starting nursery has gone from strength to strength and it's all down to the hard work of all the girls at nursery.
Read on GoogleI would recommend this nursery to anyone. My two daughters started in baby room and progressed throughout the nursery until school. Both loved every minute of their time at nursery. My youngest is currently in baby room and has settled really well, the staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is too much trouble.
Read on GoogleMy son loves it at the nursery, he settled so well in the baby room and has now moved to the toddler room where he has come on in leaps and bounds. The staff are all so friendly and will do anything to help. The garden is wonderful and my son loves exploring the different areas.
Read on GoogleOur son started for the first time in Feb 2020, and since then he has had the BEST experience! Gosh, we can't list everything they have done with him, but this place is seriously a hidden gem and here are a few examples why you may want your child to attend: 1. Lots of settling in time and reassurance from the friendly staff. 2. Loads of messy play! The kind you don't want to do in your own home, these guys absolutely specialise in and the kids LOVE it! 3. They are members of Tapestry so you have some adorable moments captured of their day and also receive regular updates. 4. They have key workers who feel like an extension to your family as they invest a lot of time, love and encouragement into your child. 5. Our son was once hesitant and unsure, but now strolls straight into nursery, bursting with confidence, waves bye and cracks on with his day. 6. They do so many activities and have an exceptionally large back garden (looks a bit like Peter Pan and the lost boys camp!) that our Son comes home tired and very content. He will be back in 2021 and moving up to the next nursery stage, for which he has had many settling in sessions so he is all setup to have the best start again. Covid has made it extremely difficult for everyone, and having this nursery take care of our son was certainly one less worry, so we'd like to take the opportunity to thank Liz and Gillian in particular, and all the Beacon Lane Day Nursery staff for doing such a fantastic job.
Read on GoogleThis is the best nursery. Methods such as Montessori are also used. It is very important right now to get this development for the child.
