Inclusion & environment
The nursery manager and the special educational needs coordinator work with other professionals, family members and the nursery staff well, ensuring children with identified delays in their learning receive targeted support in a timely manner. Key persons know their key children well and implement strategies that help them reach their full potential.
Children have opportunities to develop their physical skills well. They join in and help each other to build an obstacle course in the garden. Staff have replicated a large building site next to the nursery in the children's outdoor play area, and encourage children to look at the building site as it changes over time to learn about the construction industry.
From the very first moment we walked into Bluebell Barn for our show round, we felt genuinely welcomed. The team took the time to walk us through each classroom, explain how everything worked and most importantly engaged with our daughter, who was nearly 2 at the time. That small gesture meant so much to us. She has now been through the all the rooms and is currently thriving in Preschool and throughout every stage we've been consistently impressed. Having a background in childcare myself, I visited many nurseries in the area and out of all the settings we looked at and there were a lot , Bluebell Barn truly stood out from the rest. The level of care, the thoughtful activities and the genuine attention given to each child have supported our daughter's development beautifully. We couldn't be happier with her progression or with the nurturing environment she's growing up in. It is well maintained and looked after .
Read on GoogleWe were originally at Bluebell Hill, the sister nursery, which is also excellent. However, The Barn was our preferred choice, so we joined the waiting list. Our little boy has been attending since he was 10 months old and absolutely loves it. The manager is lovely and very responsive to any queries. Parents have access to an app that keeps you updated on how much your child is eating and drinking, nap times, and often includes photos of the activities they take part in during the day. They try and follow your usual daily routine which is great. The staff are amazing and incredibly supportive. If there is anything they feel needs working on—such as cutlery use—or if they have any concerns or positive feedback, they discuss it with you in a way that is supportive and never feels judgmental. My little boy has gained so much confidence from attending. We love Wendy and Ellie from our room. 💜
Read on GoogleMy daughter started last year in blueberries, I was anxious to leave her as most parents are! I got sent pictures of her settled in within the hour, plenty of reassurance! She’s now doing more days at the nursery and can see such a difference! My girl is particularly fond of Wendy & Ellie who go above & beyond. For anyone thinking of putting your little one in, go for it. The staff are nothing but helpful, caring & reassuring. X
Read on GoogleOur little boy started Bluebells in May and is attending 2 mornings a week. He will be 3 next month and prior to joining, he had never spent any time apart from us. Hand on heart I can say Bluebells have made this emotional and anxious time, extremely smooth sailing and filled us with total confidence that his well being is their priority. He loves coming home to tell us all about his mornings and the friends he’s made. We have really noticed a change in his development and learning already. All of the staff are wonderful, approachable and kind, they take the time to update you on drop off and pick up, plus keep you posted with photos throughout the day, particularly in the beginning stages- which meant the world to us.
Read on GoogleSuch a fantastic nursery! All the staff are amazing, so patient, kind and understanding. Both my children love going, always feel happy and safe and always have the best time! My daughter started at 9 months and we both had a bit of separation anxiety as we'd never really been apart but she settled so quickly and the staff we're amazing! Now have a 3 1/2 year old and an 18 month old who both absolutely love going and always come out happy after having a great day!
