Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well. They identify specific needs early on and provide targeted support, working closely with other agencies to ensure specialist support when needed. They adapt activities and nursery routines, taking account of individual needs, to make sure every child has equal access to the curriculum.

Outdoor space

The outside space is used well to support children's physical development. Staff encourage children to take controlled risks as they climb and balance on the equipment. Children spend lots of time in the well-resourced outside area developing their physical skills.

We are so glad to have chosen Hilly Fields for our daughter, who has attended since she turned one. She's incredibly happy there - she loves her key worker and other room staff, engages in a huge variety of activities, and eats and sleeps really well. We love that Theatre Bugs are brought in weekly for the children to enjoy music and dancing, and the large garden means they get plenty of outdoors time. Nursery management are fantastic and communication is outstanding - we receive lovely updates on their app every day. We can't recommend it highly enough!

Hilly Fields has been a great nursery for our daughter. She's learned a lot, had fun and made friends. The staff are great. They've handled her transition between classes brilliantly and she's formed some close bonds with her keyworkers. It's a rare day that she's upset to be going in. Throughout the Covid situation the nursery has been clear in its requirements and the measures being taken. We're confident our daughter is safe and happy, and being well looked after.
