About this day nursery

Gina's Montessori Nursery School, established in 1987, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children in Enfield. As the longest-running Montessori nursery in the area, it prides itself on a high standard of staff qualifications and a continuous commitment to improvement.

The nursery operates from the ground floor of a family home, providing an exclusive and comfortable setting for children to learn and grow. This intimate setting allows for a focused group size, which research suggests is highly beneficial for preschoolers' development, fostering confidence and capability.

The Montessori philosophy is central to their approach, granting children the freedom to explore and learn in an atmosphere of mutual respect. The curriculum aligns with the foundation stage, covering seven key areas of development, including personal, social and emotional development, communication and language, literacy, mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world, physical development, and creative development.

The nursery also introduces French through engaging activities and integrates computer skills into the learning experience. Strong home-school partnerships are encouraged, with daily updates and regular progress reports shared with parents.

Special needs are addressed with the support of a qualified supervisor who can adapt the curriculum as needed. The nursery prioritises a safe, calm, and supportive atmosphere, promoting positive social skills and self-esteem without the use of punishment.

Health and safety are paramount, with continuous risk assessments and a flawless safety record since its inception.

Our experience at Gina’s Montessori Nursery has been nothing short of wonderful. Gina and her staff are truly amazing, warm, attentive, and incredibly skilled at nurturing young minds. My daughter absolutely loved going there each day, and we’ve seen her grow and learn so much during her time at the nursery. The environment is loving and supportive, making it the perfect place for any child to thrive. We couldn't be happier with the care and education she received!

Awful experience, very poor communication, only sent emails about getting my child assessed; 6 weeks in they reduced his hours, with no clear strategy. Just over a month ago, he had one bad morning, we were instructed to collect him; later that evening received an email, informing us of his dismissal. The cherry on top was they suspected abuse, we were contacted by social services; who instantly closed the case. (I call this a cop out, last thing you do if you suspect abuse is hand them back, great work 👍🏿). P.s. this little boy has settled in somewhere else with no issues, no night terrors (they encourage naps).
