About this day nursery

Bright Horizons is a well-established childcare provider with over 300 nurseries across the UK, dedicated to supporting families with their work-life balance. Their core philosophy, The Nurture Approach, prioritises both learning and emotional well-being, aiming to foster healthy, happy, and thriving children.

They emphasise creating a secure and stimulating environment where children can develop essential life skills through their Bright Beginnings Curriculum, which focuses on five key learning areas. Beyond academics, Bright Horizons places a strong emphasis on outdoor play, including Forest School activities, and provides freshly prepared meals with careful attention to allergies.

They also support children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Understanding that starting nursery is a significant step, Bright Horizons offers non-chargeable settling-in sessions for up to six weeks before a child's start date, encouraging parents to participate initially to build trust and familiarity.

They also provide comprehensive guidance on various government childcare funding options to help families manage costs.

We have had an amazing experience at BH Heron quays, our little one stayed there for 18 months and it was a very nurturing, warm & caring nursery, she still talks about her nusery and misses it! Many thanks to Jade, Soltana, Amy, Rahma, Naima, Nieves, Christine, Sandra, Stella & all the staff, they know the kids so well and have a very kind & confidence -building approach, we saw an improvement in my toddler social skills when we were there. The management team is always available & proactive, Stella is a qualified teacher with long experience hence so knowledgeable, (& is a delight to talk to).Somethings i found outstanding were: the transition between the rooms(well tought & progresive), a weekly drama& dance lesson (that my daughter used to enjoy), the inclusivity, the home feel atmosphere, the feedback (through the app & verbally)...I highly recommend BH Heron quays and thank them for making our experience wonderful

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the nursery, and it’s truly bittersweet to be leaving as we move away from London. Our son started here when he was just 14 months old, and over the years, we’ve seen him grow into a confident, curious, and happy little boy — and so much of that is thanks to the amazing care he’s received. A heartfelt thank you to Gina, Rahma and Naima’s team — your warmth, patience, and genuine love for the children have meant the world to us. You’ve created such a safe and joyful environment where he has thrived. One of the things we’ve loved most is how diverse and inclusive the team is. It’s been beautiful to see staff from a wide range of backgrounds coming together, sharing their cultures, and creating a rich, welcoming atmosphere for the children. It’s a place where every child is seen, celebrated, and supported.

My daughter has been going to BH Heron Quay for six months now and she loves it! She has so much fun and when I pick her up from nursery she's always in a super happy mood. She's now moved up to the preschool room and I can tell that the staff are giving her a good foundation for when she transitions into school. She's learning letters, numbers, and phonics. They also do a lot of singing, dancing, art projects, etc. Another positive is that she is expanding her very limited appetite. She's a picky eater but somehow they get her to eat things that she'd never eat at home. Overall I feel this nursery is very well organized, very clean, and the staff seem to show great care for the kids. The only downside is that they don't currently have a garden (due to building works going on) at the nursery so she doesn't get as much outdoor time as I'd like but they do go on walks. Hopefully the garden will be up and running again soon. Thank you Tiffany for running a great nursery!

My son loves comming to Heron Quays. He's always happily running to the room full of interesting activities and gives cuddles to practitioners. Everyone is so lovely and helpful. Staff is professional and always looking in to my sons interest to see how they can extend his learning. Since we joined Heron Quays he become very social and learns new words everyday. Thank you for looking after my baby so well.

My son went here for 2 years and he rally loved the place. This quite big nursery with outside play area for kids. staff is very friendly and welcoming. Its located right next to Landmark buildings and about 10 mins walk from Canary wharf jubilee line station. Pretty good activity based learnings for kids here and good focus on overall kids developments.
