Gosh, I'm writing this 5 star review with a very heavy heart 💔 because today was my boys last day there. Our family have been a part of the Brookfields 'family' for over 7 years since our first born daughter started (part time to begin with) at just 9 months old. As a new and probably massively over protective and neurotic mother, I wanted to watch them like a hawk and struggled to trust anyone, let alone facility full of people I didn't know yet had to trust that a) they knew what they were doing with such young babies and b) they would treat my babies as precious as I did making sure every need was met but also provide a well rounded early years curriculum to bring the best out of my kids!!!! The trust grew incredibly fast, they use an App that they update regularly sending instant notifications to my phone so I could witness my babys milestones and achievements as they happened throghout the day, with cute little pics to boot, so this made things easier for me as a new mum I know most settings use these apps but I'm yet to hear from others that they get updates more than once a week! Brookfields post regularly with milestones and achievements too, not just once a week. My first born is a wildfire, full of energy and on the go 100% of the time, she's also a very emotionally intelligent for her young age of 8 now and just soaks up every bit of knowledge emparted to her which is testiment to Brookfields in itself. But where I have been truly blessed with this team is with my non-verbal, neuro divergent son (diagnosed ASC) . Yes, Brookfields are a mainstream nursery but they have absolutely had mine and sons back through years of fighting local councils and healthcare providers for support so desperately needed for my son and that can't have been easy for them, it was hard enough for me as a passionate parent, they must have been so sick of all the red tape and jumping through triple knotted loops as non parents. They really didn't have to go through it with me but they 100% did! They invested in staff training, supported the millions of form filling and evidence providing and have come along my never ending journey of fighting for what my son deserves and is entitled to. They then adhered to 1.1 support following every step of guidance from his specialist teacher (Derbyshire County Council Children's SEND services - who were amazing too, shout out to Emma Stanley-Smithy you wonderful lady). I guess living in staffs we get the poopy end of the council staff 🤣. Anyway, Arlos Ketworker Kristie and Nursery Owner Zoe have been nothing short of angels on my shoulder and a huge part of our sons upbringing - they even went out of their way to support us with transition meetings as my son starts at the Special school that we've joined forces to fight for (with blood, sweat and tears might I add)! Kristie and Zoe traveled over half an hour out of their way to join us at our sons first transition meeting and provided his new school with invaluable insights into his little quirks when in an educational setting and this has resulted in his first week of half days being a huge success and he has come home with the star of the week award! This is bitter sweet me and I cannot thank Brookfields enough for their unwavering support which has always been completely focused around their children's needs. Seriously though, this nursery in Hatton is without a shadow of doubt the most secure, loving and caring, well just the best bloody nursery and pre-school around here by a massive country mile. Thank you Zoe, Elly, Kristie, Harriet, Laura, Kerry, Fiona, Anna, Tasha, Jessie, Natalie and Sam (gosh I hope I've not missed anyone - you are all nothing short of incredible). Just so you know, and you can be proud of your impact on our beautiful baby boy - the little dude came home with the 'Star of the Week' award for transitioning so well into his new special school class environment 😍🥰🎊
