Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents are eager to share their positive views of the nursery. They say their children are happy and settled, because of their affectionate bonds with staff.
Parents value staff's advice and support, which helps them to continue children's learning at home.
Parents describe children's progress since joining the nursery, including how their confidence and speech have improved.
Inclusion & environment
Staff provide targeted support to help close any identified gaps in children's development, working with parents and other professionals where needed. This effective partnership working helps all children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), to make good progress from their starting points. Staff also feel valued and can work towards professional goals, such as learning more about supporting children with SEND.
Staff help children to enjoy active and healthy lifestyles by providing daily outdoor play. For example, as children pretend to ride their tricycles to the shops, children discuss whether apples or sweets are the healthiest option to buy. Staff also support children's curiosity, helping them to create a 'hedgehog house' in the nursery garden.
We’ve had a really positive experience at Busy Bees. The team are warm, caring, and clearly passionate about what they do. Communication is great and we always feel informed and reassured. It’s a nurturing, well-run environment where children are genuinely cared for. As a working mum, that peace of mind is invaluable.
Read on GoogleWe had previously had our son in this nursery. We feel like we’ve been strung along for months with a mandatory visit and lots of back and forth with many days (if not longer) between replies as management appear to be absent or otherwise unable to cope due to maternity leave of a senior staff member. We are more than disappointed to have been told today that “Unfortunately, all available spaces for our Preschool room have now gone. We currently have a waiting list til next year. Please let me know if you would like to go on the waiting list.” These are childrens’ futures, and our treatment here has been appalling - we could have sorted this in an afternoon months ago. I really hope Busy Bees will have a long hard look at how they have handled our son’s case here.
Read on GoogleOur son has been attending Busy Bees Mill Hill full time for nearly 7 months and he absolutely loves it there. The staff are very attentive, caring and professional. He really looks forward to going in every morning. Any requests we have are always dealt with promptly by the staff. Our son sometimes has febrile convulsions and we’re relieved and comforted by how much they monitor him to keep him safe whilst he’s there. We’re kept up to date through their app (every nappy change, meals etc) and we look forward to seeing the notes about what he’s been learning each day. Photos are also uploaded on the app. At Christmas the parents were invited to the children’s Xmas party. We couldn’t attend due to work but Grandad went instead and our son loved having him there. We also like that the nursery organise a photoshoot with a professional photographer. The photos were great. We’re very happy this nursery and we’ll continue to recommend Busy Bees Mill Hill to other parents who are looking for a setting in the area.
Read on GoogleThis Busy Bees is absolutely outstanding. Our kids are so, so happy when they go and their development has been clear for everyone to see. The communication from the nursery is brilliant, even on weekends and out of hours and we firmly believe that they care for our children really well. The best thing about the place is that despite anything that may be happening at the time, the staff always approach the kids with a smile on their face and the staff give us such a lovely, warm feeling and one which entices us to bring our children there. Thank you so much. You do a stellar job and we are beyond grateful.
Read on GoogleMy twins have been at BBMH for 2.5 years now, and they have never complained anything about the nursery / pre-school. The staff are wonderful and the setting is filled with various activities that my twins enjoy every day. The brief conversations with the teachers summarising the activities / events at the end of each day were very informative. Unfortunately we will be moving out of the area soon and I am sure that my twins will be missing the teachers and the setting.
