Carol Jane Montessori Nursery School is dedicated to providing an enriching and supportive learning environment for every child, prioritising both their educational experiences and overall well-being. The nursery operates in close collaboration with parents, believing that this partnership is crucial for giving children the best possible start in life.
Their diverse curriculum draws inspiration from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and integrates philosophies from prominent educational thinkers. The Montessori approach, developed by Maria Montessori, underpins their practice by fostering independence and allowing children to learn at their own pace.
Forest School principles are also embraced, offering regular outdoor learning opportunities that build confidence and self-esteem through hands-on engagement with nature. " Finally, inspired by Lev Vygotsky, Carol Jane Montessori Nursery recognises the vital role of social interaction in a child's development, where children learn as "apprentices" alongside more experienced individuals.

We've had a very positive experience with Carol Jane and I can only be grateful for the childcare they provided us with. My 3Y old daughter stayed with them for a short period and I wish we could have stayed longer but due to personal circumstances, we had to leave. This is my second child and I have experience with nurseries - the care here was amazing . She was coming back home every day with a number of "art projects" she'd completed, she always spoke about the setting and staff with a smile on her face and the nursery helped my daughter settle in quickly. Teaching the children different events during the year such as toasting marshmallows for Guy Fawkes night or painting clay diyas for Diwali etc are all the little things that make this nursery so special (not to mention the soft play, rabbits, forest school etc). I certainly felt my child is in safe hands. I hope to send my youngest son in the near future. Thank you very much to Karen, Louis, Jayne and the whole team!
