Inspector highlights

  • Children develop their independence well, able to independently access resources and use cutlery. Staff support children with SEND well, following individual targets and engaging with other agencies. An effective communication and language curriculum is in place, with staff using repetition, comment, and rich vocabulary.

SEND provision

Staff support each child's individual needs well. They ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the care and attention needed to access the curriculum on offer. Staff follow set individual targets and put a plan in place with strategies to help children achieve these targets. Leaders engage effectively with other agencies and local services to provide support for children with SEND.

Outdoor space

Children develop their physical skills well. They have opportunities to explore the outdoor space, such as growing plants, baking pies in the mud kitchen, riding bikes and balancing on a beam. Occasionally, this space is not used to its full potential, with some children having to wait to play in the garden.
