Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff adapt daily routines and activities to meet the wide range of needs within the nursery, including for those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Collectively I’ve been sending my children to this setting since 2017, and most of the staff still remain which I think says it all in terms of how the management treat their staff. For me personally, staff retention is really important in respect of consistency for the children, continuity of care, and communication, and these guys over the years are more than just ‘helpers’ they feel like friends and family, and they look after the children like they are their own. The nursery is a wonderful, warm, safe, caring, and child lead environment. My eldest still talks about her time here, and how much she loves and misses it, and my youngest loves it here - she is always ready to go in the morning with such enthusiasm which is a wonderful reflection on how safe, cared for, and settled she is. All in all, couldn’t recommend enough. It’s the best kept secret in Portsmouth, and if you’re thinking of placing your children here then don’t hesitate, you won’t find anywhere better. 🙌🏼
Read on GoogleWent to visit this nursery, unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Smelled really bad of asbestos, the walls needed plastering, I get that it is just being renovated etc and has been passed over but their was children when I visited and I don’t think this nursery should be open until it has had some serious renovations and cleaning. Everywhere on the floor was so thick with dirt, yes kids run in and out but this was dirt that hasn’t been cleaned in months, the amount of dust piled up on furnishings, the sensory room was more like a hot box with smelly, dusty blankets hanging from the ceiling, unhygienic is the nice word for what I saw. If it’s not a danger hazard waiting to happen than your child is definitely going to come back poorly from being at this nursery.
Read on GoogleAmazing nursery - our little girl loves it here. Great staff, very supportive and gave me that peace of mind as soon as our little one started the lovely Cherry tree nursery. She always comes home happy which is what every parent wants. Highly recommend! 🍒
Read on GoogleWe drop our boy off here. He loves it. We did have him in another nursery before this one and he wasn’t enjoying it. So moved him here and he can’t wait to come back the next day. He has started telling me about his day and what he has been doing. The staff are very friendly and it’s reassuring knowing that our child is well looked after and safe here. Nothing is ever too much. Definitely recommend.
Read on GoogleAmazing nursery, our first daughter started at 9 months and stayed until she left for school. When selecting a nursery for our second daughter, we knew straight away that we wanted her to attend Cherry Tree. The staff are fantastic, we would recommend it to anyone ☺️❤️
