SEND provision

Staff identify children who may need extra help in their learning, understanding their needs and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) well. They help children progress through individual education plans and use additional funding thoughtfully to support unique needs, including purchasing resources to help children recognise and manage their own feelings and emotions. Staff understand their responsibilities to support children with SEND, monitoring progress through regular assessments and working with parents for a consistent approach; they use strategies like 'now and next' picture cards and physical exercises for speech development.

Outdoor space

Children learn about managing and recognising risks, such as when using the stairs and outdoors.

I cannot fault Top Tots Pre school at Mountbatten centre. The staff are always going above and beyond for all of my family flexible reliable caring and kind. Nothing is ever to much, very professional. The setting is always very clean and organised definitely a great stepping stone before school insuring readiness for reception. The added bonus is access to Mountbatten’s facilities running track, swimming pool soft play in addition to all of that regular walks down the shore line is a regular walk. All in all my daughter is very happy at Top Tots and we have recommended to many of our friends and family.

A brilliant childcare setting. Both my children have attended from a young age and have developed such strong bonds with their carers. Cannot recommend this nursery enough, it’s given my two the best start in life!
