Inclusion & environment
Parents acknowledge that the manager is highly effective in how she supports all children, particularly in regard to offering strategies for building and developing children's speech.
Children enjoy daily outings to a local park as the nursery does not have its own outdoor spaces. Staff plan well for these outings, engaging children in conversations about what they hear and see, and helping them develop physical abilities using apparatus.
Our daughter has been going to the Little Explorers since Sept '24, aged 14 months. We couldn’t be happier with this nursery. It has all the best qualities of a small, independent setting. It feels warm, homely, and you can really feel the pride Christina takes in creating an environment where little ones can feel safe and loved. Every time I drop my daughter off, the atmosphere is happy and welcoming. The team always seem genuinely delighted to see her, and it’s obvious they’re engaged, attentive, and passionate about playing an important role in her early years. She has developed bonds with both staff and other children, which is lovely to hear about. The Parentzone app works well for keeping informed about food intake, nappies and activities. Also worth mentioning is that the Little Explorers really stood out for cleanliness amongst the others visited. Thank you, Christina,, Lorna, Emmy, Mara, Aliah, Magda and Grace!!!
Read on GoogleWe’ve had such a positive experience with this nursery. The staff are kind and attentive, and our daughter has grown so much in confidence and creativity. The manager always goes out of her way to support the happiness of the children and the needs of each family. It’s a warm, flexible, and genuinely caring environment. Highly recommend!
Read on GoogleMy Son went to this nursery for a period of more than one year. The nursery is absolutely amazing. The nursery is very welcoming and the their service is most personable benefiting the little explorers. The nursery is clean. The staff are very friendly and loving. It seems they really love what they do, which is amazing. There are plenty of stimulating toys and the environment is very comfortable and where learning through play seems the main approach. My son was very happy and even after leaving the nursery he does remember staff there by name with fondness. My son developed really well while at the nursery. He has strong language and emotional awareness for his age. Massive thank you to the nursery team for their excellent level of care demonstrated towards my son for more than one year. I owe you a great deal of gratitude.
Read on GoogleOur son attends Little Explorers a few days a week and they really have delivered on their promise of a home from home approach. The settling in process was very gentle, with the team often going above and beyond to make adjustments to their routines to help our son feel comfortable — around food or taking him out to the park/ river more often, letting him nap at different times etc until he settled in. The team are very committed to the children, and pick up at the end of the day is always a jolly and happy affair with the children all seeming to have had a great time. Although there is not a garden they are out on a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) — at the park, playground or observing the wildlife around the river, our son certainly knows his way around the playground much better than he did before he joined them! We’d highly recommend Christina and all the team at Little Explorers if you appreciate personal relationships and homely nursery.
Read on GoogleIf you are looking for a kind, friendly, caring and thoughtful nursery to send your little one then stop looking - this is it. Christina and her staff are truly amazing, their patience and gentleness settling our son was honestly outstanding (he was born shortly before the pandemic began and so hasn’t had all the socialising of ‘normal times’ so nursery felt like a big step for us). The food is delicious - our son eats a delicious wide variety of yummy meals (much better than he eats at home). The nursery always has a warm and caring feeling to it and when it comes to pick up our son is soo happy he now never wants to leave. I can whole heartedly recommend it.
