About this day nursery

Clockhouse Childcare in London, N16 5LG, is a childcare setting on non-domestic premises that has been subject to Ofsted compliance actions. Inspections on 30 April 2026 and subsequent regulatory visits on 8 June 2026 and 29 June 2026 identified areas where improvements were needed to ensure the welfare and safety of children.

The setting was issued welfare requirements notices due to not meeting some legal requirements in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Following the initial inspection, Clockhouse Childcare was required to address several areas by 1 June 2026, including ensuring safeguarding policies were implemented effectively, improving absence monitoring, obtaining new DBS checks for staff, vetting all persons working on the premises, providing appropriate staff training and professional development, establishing suitable staff supervision arrangements, and ensuring staff have sufficient understanding of English for children's well-being.

By 19 June 2026, further actions were required regarding the understanding and implementation of safeguarding policies by all staff, and ensuring staff training in this area. While some progress was made on these issues, new concerns were raised during the June regulatory visits.

However, a regulatory visit on 29 June 2026 found that the provider had implemented further safeguarding training, improved understanding of child protection procedures, addressed accident and incident record management, and taken action on safe sleeping practices and risk assessments. Improved monitoring of attendance records was also noted.

As of the latest report, Ofsted is satisfied that the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised, and the provider remains registered.
