About this day nursery

Cromer Pre-School Limited, established in 2021, provides a nurturing childcare setting for children aged 0-10 years. 30am to 6pm, all year round, the pre-school ensures a consistent and supportive environment for its attendees.

The latest Ofsted inspection, on 26/10/2023, recognised the pre-school as 'Good'. Children are observed to be happy and settled, eagerly engaging with activities and forming strong bonds with staff, who provide a cosy and homely atmosphere, particularly for babies.

The curriculum places a strong emphasis on communication and language development, with staff modelling language and encouraging children to express themselves. Independence and physical skills are also key focuses within the curriculum.

The pre-school excels in its provision for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The manager, who also serves as the special educational needs coordinator, is proactive in identifying concerns and providing individualised support plans in collaboration with families and other professionals.

This ensures children make good progress across all areas of learning. The nursery also values outdoor learning, with children regularly accessing the outdoor area to support their health and well-being.

Partnership with parents is strong, with regular communication ensuring staff are aware of children's interests and learning preferences at home, which then informs planning for their experiences in the setting.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Cromer! Sarah and the rest of the staff are truly amazing—so kind, caring, and dedicated. They made my little boy feel safe, happy, and excited to go to nursery everyday. He absolutely loved his time in pre school. He has grown into a confident little boy ready to start school. We’re so grateful for everything the team has done!

Cromer childcare provides a wonderful comforting and nurturing environment for babies, pre school and school age children. The culture of the staff provides a family feeling, whilst also delivering enriching and educational experiences for both of our children. Cromer childcare provided our older child with the building blocks required to transition from preschool to reception and still support with wrap around care. Our youngest was the first intake of young babies to Cromer childcare and she has thrived in the environment and attends with joy and confidence each day. The staff at Cromer childcare get to know each child individually, management are incredibly responsive and approachable, communication is excellent. We have recommended Cromer childcare to many friends, family and neighbours who have also had positive experiences.

Cromer offers warm home-from-home childcare. I valued the flexibility when settling my child in immensely - the staff/parent communication is excellent. The children learn so much within a fun environment and activities are tied in around key celebrations, for example, Chinese New Year or Science week. I feel as though Cromer staff know my child and respond to their needs whilst also modelling crucial socialisation needed before school.
