Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well-supported. Staff understand children's needs and know how to tailor and adapt their activities to ensure all children are included, such as providing chairs for children who may struggle with mobility and simplifying games. Leaders work closely with external agencies, including health visitors, paediatricians, and inclusion teams, to ensure full access to the curriculum, including community trips.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, both indoors and outdoors, and assessed its impact on children's learning. Staff promote children's physical development well across the nursery and make effective use of the outdoor environment, planning activities that build children's independence, such as navigating balancing planks and constructing with large blocks.
Staff are particularly skilled at supporting disadvantaged children, including those who speak English as an additional language. They provide targeted intervention programmes and use visual aids and sign language to support language development, ensuring all children make significant progress with their language skills before starting school.
Friendly staff, but the nursery feels outdated, profit-driven, and the manager Esne lacks clear direction.
