This childcare setting, which received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 30/07/2021, warmly welcomes children aged 2 to 4 years.
Children confidently settle into activities and are encouraged to make decisions for themselves, showing kindness and good manners. Staff expertly weave children's interests into varied and challenging activities, building on their existing knowledge.
For instance, children enthusiastically recreated Olympic sports using wooden planks after learning about them through books. The nursery places a strong emphasis on supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Needs are identified promptly by the SEND coordinator, who quickly implements support to ensure good progress. Additional funding is effectively used for training, such as supporting children's language development.
Outdoor learning is a key part of the curriculum, with children actively involved in risk-assessing the garden before play. They learn to identify potential hazards and solutions, like advising friends to use a balancing beam slowly if it might be slippery.
