Inclusion & environment
In the main, leaders ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) get the support that they need. Intervention plans are in place and leaders monitor these with rigour. Leaders would like to strengthen systems for working with external professionals who are involved with children with SEND.
Children enjoy spending time outdoors. They look at wildlife, talk about geese and listen to the sounds that birds make. Staff promote children's large-muscle skills very well; babies enjoy exploring natural objects outside.
I cannot recommend Educare enough. From Becky, the manager, to each and every one of my son's key workers throughout the three years he has been there (Kirsty, Nicola, Emy, Alicia, Lizzie, Amy, Elena), I have always felt he is in the safest hands. Every member of staff is just the loveliest - they put tonnes of effort into the activities they plan, and parents are kept up to date with progress and pictures. Nothing is ever too much, even when I call up in the middle of the day because "he just seemed a bit sad this morning and I wanted to check whether he's cheered up and now having a good day!". They don't just give it lip service, they keep me on the line as they go to check on him, and will pass me on to his key worker if a bigger update is needed. Any time he's had a bump or fall (he's a kid, it's going to happen!), it's been recorded, and I've had a detailed account of exactly how it came about - which ALWAYS matches up to my son's description of the event, too. I really do love all the staff here, they provide a really personal touch which makes the world of difference. And to have your kid come home and say their key worker is their BEST FRIEND is the most heartwarming thing ever. He feels safe, and so do I.
Read on GoogleBoth my children attend Educare Bury and love it. From their very first day we have all been made to feel welcome and a part of the Educare family. As parents we have peace of mind our children are happy, well cared for and, most importantly, having fun! The children are given such wonderful, hands on experiences through regular visitors attending the setting and it is with no doubt that my children have grown in so many ways thanks to the wonderful team and management. I never hesitate in recommending the nursery to friends.
Read on GoogleWhen I first came to Educare to do a baby massage course, I knew that this was the nursery that I wanted my son to go too when he was a little older. We first started 1 day a week, then 2 and now 3. Nursery alerted me to my son being on the ASD Spectrum and started a process in order for him to receive the care he requires for his needs. The rooms are lovely and bright, staff and key workers are excellent, friendly and extremely hard working. I couldn't have chosen better. A very happy mum :-)
Read on GoogleAs a primary school teacher the education, nurturing environment and care of the nursery provider we chose was so important. After visiting a few nurseries locally it was clear within seconds of meeting Nursery manager Sarah I wanted my daughter to go to Educare. It was a very simple choice also after being made to feel welcome to visit anytime we wanted without an appointment. After nursery did so much to help out eldest daughter to settle in, when the time came we enrolled our second child without hesitation. Best decisions we've made in their short but precious lives.
Read on GoogleI can not recommended Educare enough. After looking round most of the nurseries in the area I was very impressed by how friendly and approachable the staff are at educare. Their open door policy is so refreshing and you really see the nursery working, not a stage show. Both of my children are so happy here. My eldest really struggled to settle in (due to her personality), but Sarah and the staff couldn't do enough to make the transition easier and offered more settling sessions to ensure she was happy. Each and every member of staff knows not only my children but us as parents too, they are all so friendly and welcoming and seem to show a genuine interest in my children. I can relax at work knowing they are in the best possible care.
