How they support every child

SEND provision

There is a clear process for identifying children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Parents and carers of children with SEND are especially complimentary about the work of practitioners and leaders. They appreciate how the nursery ensures that all children learn and explore confidently alongside their peers. Managers use funding extremely well to help all children to make significant progress.

Outdoor space

Staff use their spacious garden expertly well, providing activities that have a positive impact on children's physical health. For example, the children run down the steep hill at extreme pace, making their own decisions about direction and speed. They roll hoops to each other and enjoy bubble games with their friends, measuring their own risks and being physically active.

I cannot recommend Mulberry Bush Walshaw enough. Our son started with them just after his 3rd birthday having previously been with a childminder, and he has thrived. It is such a supportive environment with the kindest staff who he has grown to love. When he has struggled with things, for example toilet training, they have gone above and beyond to help. The staff have made him feel safe, heard and supported and kept us as parents in the loop and took the weight of responsibility where they could. We will miss him going to nursery there and know he will miss it even more. It is such a fun environment where he has learnt so much and got to experience so many things; yoga, French, animal visits to name a few! We will always be grateful for the gorgeous experience Mulberry Bush and their lovely staff have provided.

Both of my children went to Mulberry Bush Walshaw from the baby room up to preschool. They both loved going and still talk about the lovely memories they have. The days are well structured and the communication is great. The staff form lovely bonds with the children and I would recommend it to anyone looking for early years childcare.
