Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) knows children's needs well. She makes timely referrals to outside agencies, who are invited into the nursery to support children and staff. The SENCo reviews individual support plans with staff to identify any further gaps in children's learning. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported and make good progress from their starting points.
Staff plan plentiful opportunities for outdoor play each day. Children show good control as they climb and balance during obstacle courses and practice rolling hoops to their friends. They run around smiling with glee together in the garden, which helps to develop children's physical dexterity and builds upon their awareness of space.
We're so pleased we picked this nursery, our daughter loves it here. I love that the little ones spend most of their time playing outside in the wonderful garden. I can't recommend it enough! Thank you to all the staff here!
Read on GoogleAbsolutely fabulous nursery! Took my little one out of a nursery that I wasn't too happy with and put her into Elm House. Best decision I've ever made. Lovely staff and amazing outdoor play space. Also catered for my daughters special diet, no problems!
Read on GoogleMy little boy attends this nursery and I couldn’t be happier. The grounds are amazing and what they have done with the garden is fantastic. My oldest boy used to attend this nursery when it was the previous owners and the garden was little and bare, whereas the new owners have really made use of the grounds and created lots of different areas such as a dinosaur garden, sensory shed, man made wooden boat and tractor, as well as swings and climbing frame at the back. I’m really happy with the staff as well, they genuinely care about the children and my son gets so excited when he sees them (he is not like this with anyone other than me and his dad) so I know he is well loved and cared for by them! I’m really happy with my sons progression too as he is only 2 and recognises all of the shapes and letters from the alphabet (this is purely down to the nursery!) as they regularly do phonics so I am confident he will be ahead of his peers when starting school.
Read on GoogleAmazing. Can’t fault this nursery in any way. Amazing and very friendly staff to all children and parents not just the children in their room. Excellent variations of meals and snacks. Fantastic outdoor space with excellent play area including swings and slide. I will be very sad to see my son leave here
