Happy House Daycare, established in 2020, is a Good-rated nursery in Liverpool, inspected on January 4, 2023. It welcomes children aged 0-4 years.

Children are greeted by warm and caring staff, settling quickly and demonstrating a strong sense of belonging, sociability, and confidence. The curriculum focuses on developing communication skills through songs, stories, and signing.

The dedicated special educational needs coordinator works closely with staff, parents, and external professionals to ensure all children, including those with SEND, make good progress. The nursery provides exciting learning opportunities, such as playing with natural objects and imaginative play with a dolls' house.

Staff also support children in understanding healthy lifestyles through robust monitoring of dietary, cultural, and medical needs, and by incorporating discussions about healthy living into daily routines. Parents report that their children settle well and that their development, particularly speech and language, is well supported.

While the nursery excels in many areas, the inspector noted that children who prefer outdoor learning are not as well supported, and improvements to the outdoor curriculum are recommended.

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, demonstrate a sense of belonging and are sociable and confident. They are well behaved with a positive attitude towards learning and are engaged, busy and meaningfully occupied throughout the day.
