Inclusion & environment
Staff use multiple strategies to support and include children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) in all aspects of the nursery, for example, a well-equipped sensory room is utilised to support children to self-regulate. Leaders use additional funding to meet individual needs and interests of children with SEND, supporting them to make good progress from their individual starting points.
Children make lemonade together in the garden, building their fine motor skills as they squeeze and cut citrus fruits. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
Our son Zak has been part of the Foundation Nurseries family since he was 2 years old and now at 4, he’s off to reception in September. It’s hard to put into words just how grateful we are for this incredible nursery. From day one, the warmth and care shown by every single member of staff has been exceptional. Even though he was in one class, it felt like the whole team knew and looked out for him, that sense of familiarity and attention has meant so much to us. The staff go above and beyond every single day. They are kind, patient and truly invested in each child’s happiness and development. Our son started nursery with a slight speech delay, and thanks to the nurturing environment and dedicated team, he’s now thriving, coming home each day full of stories, confidence and joy.
Read on GoogleThe staff at foundation nurseries are what makes it home from home. They are so attentive to each child and their individual needs. They take time to build parent/staff relationships which I find most important. The facilities are incredible (including a sensory room). You are updated on your child’s days of their food intake. They go out and explore nature. My children have come on leaps and bounds since starting here and I’ll be forever grateful for the nursery and staff for what they have provided for my girls.
Read on GoogleMy child has been attending Foundation Nurseries since he was 2 years old, he is now 4 and off to reception in September. Honestly I cannot think of one fault for this nursery. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming and although your child is in one class, every single staff member becomes familiar with your child and I love that! Everyone is so attentive and very understanding. Staff members go above and beyond. I am really sad that my child is leaving this nursery!
Read on GoogleWords do not do this wonderful nursery justice. It is full of love, learning and laughter - our little girl comes away smiling and full of stories to tell every single week. The staff are just incredible, we trust them completely and adore the setting. We looked around a lot to find a good fit for our family and Foundation Nurseries ticked every box and more. We couldn’t recommend them more!
