Kids 'N' Co Playgroup, located in Bridgwater, Somerset, has been a welcoming environment for preschool children since 1992. This small, friendly preschool prides itself on fostering personal relationships with families and nurturing each child's potential.

They achieve this by providing a warm and inviting play environment and structuring their teaching to meet individual needs and interests, all within the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The nursery's philosophy centres on supporting each child's confidence, autonomy, and self-respect, encouraging both independent and group work, and helping children express their feelings respectfully.

Each child benefits from a 'special adult' and is able to progress at their own pace across all developmental areas. Kids 'N' Co also emphasises providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment to prepare children for school, and acknowledges parents as their child's primary educators.

The playgroup utilises an allotment to teach children about the natural world and the origins of food, and celebrates their journey with a graduation ceremony.

What it's like

Children settle quickly and are eager to explore the exciting environment and well-prepared activities. They become engrossed in learning through their interests, with staff extending their vocabulary and teaching them to use technology to gain information. Snack time is a social event where children develop independence and physical skills.
