Inclusion & environment
Parents and carers comment on how attentive staff are to their child's individual needs, particularly for those children who face barriers to their learning and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Leaders and staff support children with SEND through early identification and timely interventions, using additional funding strategically to enhance staffing, resources, and the environment to meet their specific needs. Resources such as 'wobble cushions' are available to any child that needs them, helping children with SEND to participate more deeply and attend for longer at group activities.
Staff promote healthy lifestyles by giving children daily opportunities to play outdoors, enjoy fresh air on walks in the local community, and take part in physical activities that support their wellbeing and keep them active. Older children are regularly engaged in active group games outside.
Staff support all children effectively, particularly those who speak English as an additional language, by reinforcing their understanding and helping them express themselves through inclusive resources and approaches, such as visual aids and objects of reference.
My son has been at Little Adventures since September when he turned 16 months old. He seems to love being there and it’s been amazing to see just how much he’s progressed with his speech and general confidence. The nursery is welcoming and I am confident then when I drop him off for a 10 hour day that he is receiving the best quality of care and support, and he’s always such a happy little chap on pick up. Nothing negative to say and looking forward to seeing my little boy continue to thrive there.
Read on GoogleMy son has attended this nursery since he was 15 months old and we have always had a positive experience here. Since the new management started, the nursery feels like it’s been given a new lease of life with the recent refurbishments making a really positive impact. The nursery gives the children so many opportunities to experience things that I just couldn’t do at home and everyone who works there has the children’s best interests at heart. My son is heading to school in September but he has thrived here, especially in the past couple of months. My daughter is due to start very soon and I can’t wait to see how much she learns and grows while at Little Adventures
Read on GoogleI have been attending the Friday Baby group at Little Adventures Nursery with my nearly 6 month old and it has been brilliant. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and my boy has a brilliant time getting to play and explore with different toys and sensory items each week.
Read on GoogleMy son has been at this nursery since before his first birthday and will soon be moving into the preschool room. Since Lucy (manager) and Ella (deputy manager) have taken over, the nursery has become so much more structured and communication with parents is much better, with regular parents’ evenings. The staff clearly care about the children, and my son often fondly talks about them at home, which says a lot. I feel confident and happy knowing he is well cared for and supported here.
Read on GoogleMy little boy started at Little Adventures just before he was 6 months old. Naturally I was anxious about leaving him at this age but I can honestly say choosing this nursery is one of the best decisions we have made. From the first time we visited the nursery we felt a warm welcome from the staff and they really engaged with us on our tour and settling in days. The staff are amazing, so kind, loving and nurturing, they really take an interest in your child. The nursery itself is brilliant well equipped and modern, they have just had a refurbishment as well so it’s even nicer than it was before. My child’s is always well fed and loves the variety of food he is served, they cater to his allergies well and we have never had an accidental exposure to date. I always feel informed about my child’s day and his wellbeing whilst he is in the setting and he genuinely really enjoys going, I never have an issue dropping him off and he is always full of smiles and giggles when I collect him. I would 1000% recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for a placement for their child.
