SEND provision

The manager is the special educational needs coordinator and encourages staff well in using good strategies to support children effectively. Staff have also had sign language training to aid communication with babies and children with special educational needs.

Outdoor space

The nursery now has a garden, as well as a field, and staff plan some outdoor activities, such as extending painting activities and allowing young children to climb and use the slide. However, staff do not use all outdoor opportunities as effectively to support the youngest children's next stages of development.
