Children are noted to be safe and secure, building positive relationships with peers and staff, and confidently exploring their environment and making independent choices. The nursery provides a broad and well-sequenced curriculum, consistently delivered across all age groups, with a focus on fostering independence and preparing children for school.

Staff quickly identify any learning gaps, working closely with parents and external professionals to support children's progress. They use their knowledge of individual children to create activities that best meet their needs.

The nursery strongly supports the development of communication skills, incorporating Makaton with babies and using songs and rhymes with older children. Outdoor learning is also a key part of the experience; for instance, pre-school children are accustomed to independently preparing themselves for garden play and are taken on outings to local parks to learn about safety outside the nursery.

Furthermore, staff help children understand their emotions and provide a calm space for relaxation. The nursery also offers a variety of opportunities to explore the local community, including visits to an elderly care home and train journeys.
