About this day nursery

Kinder Castle is a family-oriented nursery in North Shields, dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children from birth to five years old. The nursery aims to be a "home away from home" and works closely with parents and carers to achieve this.

With a focus on individualised learning, the experienced and friendly staff follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, adapting activities to suit each child's unique needs and interests. The nursery uses an online learning journey system, Tapestry, allowing parents to track their child's development and contribute to their learning journey.

Kinder Castle prides itself on its modern, purpose-built facilities, ensuring a high standard of care. They also emphasise the importance of good nutrition, offering a home-cooked menu prepared by their chef, catering to various dietary requirements.

Furthermore, they offer extra-curricular activities such as music, dancing, and language classes, and even life-saving skills training for children.

Parents speak highly of the nursery and the care that their children receive.

Parents feel their child's individual needs are met at the nursery but also that the nursery offers support to parents when needed.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported at nursery. Staff work well together and with other professionals to ensure that children receive the support they need.

Outdoor space

Children spend time in the outdoor area and benefit from daily exercise and extending their physical skills. Children enjoy exploring the rain and snow with staff and their friends. However, time is often limited, which reduces children's deep engagement with exploring the natural world and the resources outdoors.
