About this day nursery

Kumon Leeds, Headingley Study Centre opened its doors 15 years ago, establishing itself as a respected educational institution. The centre provides tailored study programmes in Maths and English, aimed at developing crucial learning abilities and fostering self-assured, motivated learners.

The centre prides itself on supporting students of all ages and abilities, personalising programmes to maintain challenge and maximise progress. Students attend classes up to twice weekly and complete daily assignments, allowing them to build skills and fluency in incremental steps.

Gurpreet Narang, the instructor, has been involved with Kumon for 16 years, initially as a parent and later taking over the centre. The Kumon Leeds, Headingley Study Centre has achieved "Elite Status" for seven consecutive years, recognising it as one of the top 50 centres in Europe and Africa.

The centre offers both in-person and online classes, along with KUMON CONNECT, a digital learning platform. It is also Ofsted registered and boasts a strong team of experienced staff capable of assisting students from early learners to A-level maths and English.

The centre welcomes students with special educational needs, as well as those who are gifted and talented.

Kumon has been a fantastic opportunity for my children to learn Maths and English, and one of the best decisions made for them. I’ve watched my daughter grow in confidence and truly shine at school. My younger son (4) has made tremendous progress since joining last year—he’s more confident, excited about numbers, and genuinely loves going to the centre. What really sets this centre apart is how caring and supportive the team is. They truly understand each child and provide individual support to help them thrive. I can’t recommend the Headingley centre enough. Thank you, Preeti, and the team, for all that you do.

My daughters started attending Kumon over a year ago, and the improvement in both their English and Maths has been noticeable. They are now far more confident at school, and it’s been wonderful to see their progress. I would highly recommend Kumon—Pretti and her team are fantastic and truly dedicated to helping children succeed. Thank you Team.

Kumon helped me build a strong foundation by starting from the basics and slowly progressing to harder topics. The daily worksheets made me more disciplined, and over time, I started solving problems faster and more accurately. Because I did Kumon from a young age, I was always ahead in my math classes and quickly understood topics that were being introduced for the first time which was really advantageous for me as I could focus on other subjects I had exams on. What helped most was learning to work independently. I became more confident in my abilities and started doing better in school. Kumon wasn’t always easy, but it definitely improved my maths skills and study habits. I’m really glad I did it.

I've seen tremendous progress in my son's education over the past year. His attitude towards math has completely changed, and he's now more confident and happy. I'm grateful to everyone who has supported him along the way. Joining Kumon was a great decision, and I encourage other parents to give it a try—it's definitely worth it!

It’s a great place to develop your children’s learning attitude and to build confidence. It improves their focusing ability, confidence skills and helps them to be an independent learner. My daughter has been performing well in maths at school due to 100% contribution from Kumon. Starting Kumon at an early age certainly helps them to do challenging work at school and make good progress. Preeti’s assiduous effort towards Kumon has brought successful learners and also helps to build a bright future for many children. The team at Kumon encourages and supports children to do their best and be self confident. Best wishes
