How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities make good progress from their starting points. Leaders and their enthusiastic team are committed to their roles and responsibilities and plan a sequenced and ambitious curriculum, based on children's individual needs. Regular assessments on children's learning, enables staff to quickly identify any emerging gaps and put timely interventions into place. They work successfully with other professionals involved in children's care and have high expectations for what all children can achieve.

Outdoor space

Children of all ages enjoy playing in the well-resourced garden. Staff promote children's physical development well, encouraging them to use apparatus and ride bicycles to develop skills in balance and coordination.

Little Fishes is a wonderful, nurturing pre-school. The staff are lovely and have great relationships with both the children and parents. The facilities are excellent and the staff ensure that the children have the best time whilst still learning and help prepare them for moving on to school when the time comes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Little Fishes to any parent looking for a term time preschool.

Both of my children have been to Little Fishes and have loved their time there! The staff are all lovely, they have a large amount of indoor and outside space for the children to play in and the children learn so much from going there.

Our daughter has attended for the past year and is very happy here. She settled in very quickly due to the warm and friendly staff. For us the real benefits are: lovely staff; a huge and natural garden (in addition to the playground area); lots of space indoors too with a variety of activities; singing/story-time, and time in smaller groups; extra events like Sports Day; nice short days so our daughter doesn't get too tired/overwhelmed; conveniently located (for us it's a lovely walk/cycle up a quiet green lane so it's nice to start the day getting some fresh air and exercise together!)

My son attended for 2 years and there was not a single day that he wasn’t excited to go! He’s a confident well adjusted little boy who is totally ready for school and this is down to the fantastic staff at Little Fishes.

My son loved coming to this pre school and he came on so much with his speech and learning despite him only being there for 7 months before leaving to go onto primary school. 100% recommend this pre school.
