LGR Minster Yard is one of the best nurseries in central York and surrounding area. Their curriculum and daily activities stand head and shoulders above any competition. A standard week might include baby yoga, book club, French, rugby, baby band, football, visits to the library and museum gardens and forest school. Not as extras simply built into the offering. We find the staff attentive and professional and our child has developed lasting bonds with their key workers and other children. They’ve also supported any specific concerns or challenges we’ve encountered proactively. The location and facilities are beyond anything else other nurseries are currently offering. Everything combined we’ve had an amazing 3yrs with the setting and couldn’t ask for more.

Minster Yard is lovely! The staff have been amazing and always make sure the little ones are busy doing fun activities. They go in to York city centre and have so much fun! Staff have supported us all through our little ones transition to nursery which hasn’t been easy but they have been amazing and helped her settle in. She loves her nursery days!

My little boy loves his days at Minster Yard. He has been at the nursery since he was 1 years old and has thrived in the nursery setting I could jit have asked for better. The staff team are so kind and caring and go above and beyond and have really supported his learning and development in so many different ways to become the confident little boy he is today. With the nursery being in the city centre the children are always out and about exploring the the heart of York and having some wonderful learning opportunities, knowing how well cared for he is makes it so much easier leaving him for the day. They have an on-site forest school a short walk away from the nursery which is a truley magical place to be a child and my little boy is always so excited to go. They even use real tools to create some wonderful woodwork pieces. It lovely Th nursery do stay and play sessions each month so I feel really involved in my Childs learning and have a good understanding of what he gets up to during his nursery days. I would recommend Minster Yard to anyone, such a lovely place to be a child. Thank you

Our daughter started a LGR at a young age and has absolutely thrived! She is always happy to be dropped off and has a big smile on her face when we pick her up with lots of messy clothes and a full belly! Communication is great, regular observations throughout the day and photo updates most days which we love to see! A special thanks go to her key worker, Beth, who is always so full of energy and joy and they have formed the sweetest friendship. Consistency in staffing is really important for young children and LGRs room and buddy system means she is always with the same workers who know her so well. I absolutely love the stay and play sessions, something that not all nurseries offer, and always look forward to her playing and learning with her little friends.
