Our role is to seek the learning out from their playful opportunities which helps a child grow not only for school, but develop key skills for life. Using play, children can naturally steer their learning for every purpose they need, which includes reading, writing, kindness and compassion for their peers.

Charges are based on an hourly rate for unfunded hours, with flat fees for full days and early starts. Funding is term-time only (38 weeks) and cannot be stretched. Additional charges apply for snacks and lunches on funded days, as well as consumables like nappies and sun cream if not provided by parents.

The manager helps staff adapt activities to better support children when there are gaps in their learning. She has worked with external agencies to help children's communication skills, but has not yet followed up with other professionals who could offer support with other areas of development.
Staff carry out risk assessments indoors, outdoors, and for outings. They take action to minimise or remove potential hazards. Staff talk with children about managing risks to help them learn how to keep themselves safe.

Little Monsters Childcare registered in 2016 and is located in the Hardwicke area of Gloucester. The setting operates from Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year. Sessions are from 7.30am until 6pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and from 7.30am until 5pm on Friday. There are 10 members of staff who work with the children.
