How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who face barriers to their learning develop confidence and skills because support is tailored to their needs. Children with SEND are encouraged to play alongside other children to help build on their social skills, preparing them for the next stage in their learning. Staff adapt activities, gently engaging them with smaller groups, to enable all children to access the activities on offer. Leaders and staff assess children's development to identify and provide tailored support for those with SEND, regularly observing progress to ensure steady progress from their starting points. While staff work with external professionals, occasional delays in sharing assessments with key persons can lead to minor delays in implementing recommended support.

Outdoor space

Children enjoy outdoor play. Pre-school children concentrate as they attempt to throw balls through holes, developing hand-eye coordination. Toddlers are supported by staff to safely navigate steps on a slide, and others use their leg muscles to push themselves along on ride-on toys. Children also show excitement as they play in the outdoor environment with climbing frames and slides, developing physical skills and building friendships.

I can’t thank the team enough at Lots for Tots for how amazing they’ve been in welcoming both me and my daughter. From day one, the staff have been so kind, patient, and understanding — especially as this was the first time my daughter had ever been looked after by anyone other than her parents. They really took the time to listen to me and to work with my daughter, helping her settle in so well that she now happily spends hours playing and exploring. The nursery itself is absolutely beautiful — a brand new, bright, and spacious building that is warm and inviting, something that I was really keen in wanting. The staff genuinely care about the children and work closely with parents to make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. I’m so grateful for the wonderful start they’ve given my daughter. Highly recommend!

We couldn't be happier with lots for Tots nursery. We sadly had a bad time at our previous nursery and so trust was low and anxiety very high when moving our daughters nursery. We actually doubted that we would send our daughter to a new one. However we heard this new nursery had opened and decided to give it a try. Delighted to say that we're so happy to see our little girl loving and going to nursery. The staff have adapted to her needs and communicated with us, holding meetings for us to talk and share about our child's development. The nursery itself is lovely and well kept and the kids have lots of things to keep them busy. Can't thank all of the staff from lots for Tots (shooting stars especially) for turning something that was really hard and difficult into something overwhelmingly positive. It's also clear that they operate an ethos of understanding and respect with all families of different shapes and sizes being welcomed and treated the same 💕 Can't recommend this nursery enough.
