Manor Preschool, situated within Knaresborough Children's Centre, has been a part of the local community for over 25 years. The preschool caters to children aged 2 to 4, fostering their development, independence, and curiosity through engaging play-based learning activities.

The dedicated team of highly qualified staff are committed to creating a secure and nurturing 'home from home' environment, where children can thrive in terms of self-esteem and confidence. The preschool places a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, offering extensive outdoor play spaces and a unique pond/wildlife area used for Forest School sessions and other nature-based activities, including an outdoor classroom.

They provide nutritious, home-cooked meals daily, encouraging children to participate in the growing, preparing, and cooking process. Beyond the nursery, children also have opportunities to explore the wider world through visits to the local market and monthly craft sessions at a nearby nursing home.

What it's like

Children are cared for in a nurturing and exceptionally well-resourced environment. They settle quickly and feel safe and secure due to the welcoming smiles and comforting words from staff. Children show high levels of respect for each other and adults, willingly sharing resources and letting others join their play.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged per morning or afternoon session. An optional daily top-up fee is requested for funded children to cover lunch, drinks, snacks, an extra half-hour of childcare, and extracurricular activities including forest school, martial arts, and dance.
