Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported effectively in the nursery. Staff work with other professionals and parents to provide tailored targets and learning goals for children, gathering detailed information to ensure specific needs are met. The special educational needs coordinator provides support to parents and ensures children have everything needed before moving to school.
Children benefit from fresh air outdoors each day. Staff ensure children are dressed appropriately and support them to develop independence by putting on their own coats and hats. Staff encourage older children to explore the snow and develop their imagination; however, teaching is less purposeful outdoors for younger children as staff do not engage them in meaningful activities.
We have been using Kids Planet Knaresborough for over 3 months now and we are very happy. The team is caring, knowledgeable, helpful and honest. The kids spend time outdoors and there are always fun activities for our little baby to learn from and develop new skills. We know how she is getting on while she is there thanks to updates on the ParentZone app. Highly recommend.
Read on GoogleIn 2023 I had sent my toddler to this place for nearly a month. He was so traumatized by the experience there. The manager was totally inapproachable and the nursery staff were mostly young girls who just did the job for the sake of doing it and for the money. If they have staff shortage their usual tactic will be to lie to you that your child has fallen sick and you will be forced to take your child back home. When this kept repeating more than twice in just a span of two weeks I got fed up and stoppy sending my kid there. My son has joined another nursery nearby and he is so happy and content there.
Read on GoogleI have a three year old and a two year old. They both go to twinkles and both love it. My oldesthada rough time with his previous nursery and went into his shell and lost all his confidence. It was a really tough year we had so many changes he just wasn't settled at all. So start g at twinkles I was incredibly nervous but the very day he started it was like he had taken a magic pill and he went back to himself and he's got friends and is coming on in leaps and bounds I was happy enough with the nursery that against our first idea to put our daughter in a different setting when she started nursery we put her in twinkles instead because we felt that she would come on loads. She still has the wobble about being left but always has a huge smile for all the staff and has made loads of friends. Really really fabulous nursery.
Read on GoogleAbsolutely fantastic nursery. They were hugely reassuring when our 9 month old daughter started in January. She has been in the baby room 5 months now and is truly thriving. Violeta, Charlene, Zoe and Emma are all kind enthusiastic and professional. Our daughter loves spending time at nursery and we are so grateful to have been recommended Kids planet! Ryan & Rachel
