About this day nursery

Molescroft Farm Children's Nursery, located on an active arable farm, offers a distinctive early years education experience in Beverley. The nursery is purpose-built to immerse children in nature and outdoor exploration, reflecting the Hall family's generations of farming heritage.

With 10% of the farm land dedicated to wildlife, children have ample opportunities to engage with the environment through hands-on experiences. The facility features three distinct rooms, each tailored to specific age groups, and provides direct access to secure outdoor spaces, including covered areas for all-weather play.

Children participate in farm adventures, observing wildlife, understanding seasonal changes, and even cultivating fruits and vegetables in raised beds and a polytunnel. This approach not only teaches patience and perseverance but also integrates fresh produce into their daily meals.

The nursery's ethos strongly emphasises play-based learning, fostering a love for discovery through a stimulating environment that caters to each child's individual developmental needs. Additionally, children interact with farm animals, such as nursery chickens, learning responsibility and care.

The nursery also offers various extra enrichment activities, including science, gardening, and music lessons, alongside educational visits to a local farm within the property. Molescroft Farm Children's Nursery is committed to environmental consciousness, promoting reduction, reuse, and recycling throughout its operations, and provides nutritious, unprocessed meals prepared on-site using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
