How they support every child

SEND provision

Children, including those who are most-able, make rapid and sustained progress in their learning. Children whose language was less well developed learn to speak in full sentences.

Outdoor space

Staff make highly effective use of information to provide children with an abundance of challenging opportunities outside. The management team has developed the garden to provide children with many more exciting opportunities outdoors, and the inspector observed outdoor learning and assessed its impact on children's progress.

My daughter attended Oranges and Lemons last year before starting school. She absolutely loved it, the teaching staff are incredible - every day there were new, interesting tasks and ideas to help learning in and imaginative and fun way. She advanced so much, in reading, writing, maths, art and confidence! It is a rare gem of a place where all staff, children and the LOCAL community are engaged and involved. We really miss O+L!

I am writing to highly recommend Oranges and Lemons Nursery, based on the wonderful experience my daughter had while attending this setting. From the very beginning, the staff were warm, welcoming, and highly professional. They created a nurturing and stimulating environment where my daughter felt safe, valued, and excited to learn every day. It was evident that the team is truly passionate about early years education, and their dedication shone through in every aspect of the care they provided. During her time at Oranges and Lemons, my daughter developed both socially and emotionally, made meaningful friendships, and gained a strong foundation for her future learning. We always felt well-informed and supported as parents, with regular updates and thoughtful feedback from the staff. We are extremely grateful to the entire team at Oranges and Lemons for making her early childhood experience so positive and enriching. I would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a caring, high-quality environment for their child.

Our daughter loved her time at Oranges and Lemons. The staff are caring, friendly and always made her feel at home. The garden and play areas are fantastic and gave her lots of space to learn and explore. We are really thankful for the wonderful start she has had here.

Two of our children went to this fabulous nursery and we couldn't speak more highly of the staff. They are incredibly welcoming, supportive, totally dedicated to the kids and super caring. The children all come out with huge smiles. The outside space is incredible and certainly better than most nurseries we visited. Our children developed a love of reading, maths, cooking, gardening and imaginative play which has come with them to primary school. We are sad to leave the O&L family but it has been a wonderful start for our children. Thank you Gail and your team x

Cannot recommend oranges and lemons highly enough.The staff are so welcoming and easy to talk to, a nice atmosphere in the nursery. The hall is set up well and not too overwhelming or loud. They also have a big outside play area with plenty of toys.
