Outdoor-Fun Forest School Nursery offers an enriching educational experience rooted in nature for children from birth to five years old. Situated within the picturesque grounds of Sound and District Primary School, the nursery prioritises outdoor learning to foster children's health, wellbeing, and natural curiosity.
Qualified staff guide little learners, encouraging them to explore, grow, and reach their full potential at their own pace. The nursery aims to cultivate independent learners, develop healthier bodies, instil a love and respect for the outdoors, and nurture self-esteem and confidence.
Through a focus on resilience, risk-taking, and teamwork, children enhance their communication skills and forge lasting friendships. In addition to their nursery programme, Outdoor-Fun also provides engaging holiday clubs for children aged two to ten, ensuring continuous fun and learning experiences throughout the year.
The nursery is committed to collaborating closely with parents to build a strong foundation for each child, valuing every individual who joins their setting.

They are taught to interact positively and care for each other.

Inclusion & environment
Leaders and staff work in partnership with parents and other professionals, sharing key information about children and their needs to ensure continuity of care and education. The needs of all children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), are met. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with SEND.
Children eagerly run outside to see if the hens have laid any eggs. Staff support children to become independent by encouraging them to put on their own outdoor clothing
