Lamb Setts Montessori Nursery, a family-operated and graduate-led establishment, has been delivering exceptional childcare and education since April 1994. The nursery caters to children ranging from three months to twelve years old, offering a continuum of care that begins in the baby nursery, progresses to the pre-school at age two, and then to the Montessori school unit at three.
For primary school-aged children, an Out of School Kids Club is also available. Located in the charming village of Mosborough, the nursery offers a picturesque countryside setting where children can explore and engage with nature.
The name 'Lamb Setts' itself is inspired by local village history, referencing 'Lamb Sacs' (a historical sheep-dipping area) and 'Setts' (an old term for stepping stones). The dedicated and enthusiastic staff, led by an Early Years Graduate, ensure a stimulating and caring environment, fully equipped with diverse learning materials and IT resources both indoors and outdoors.
The nursery values parental involvement, encouraging daily communication and contributions to their newsletter, all within a professional, safe, structured, and friendly atmosphere.

Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make a strong start to their learning in this warm and nurturing nursery. The nursery strongly supports children with SEND. Staff identify gaps in children's learning and development at an early stage. They work closely with parents and other professionals, such as local authority advisers and speech therapists, to plan for children's further development. Staff support children well in their transition through the nursery and into school.
Children use their imaginations as they develop role play in their fairy garden or use toy diggers and tractors in their muddy construction area. Staff help children to increasingly build their strength and core muscle control as they balance on tyres and wooden planks and join in aerobic and simple sporting activities.
Both my daughters have attend this nursery, the youngest is full time and my eldest attends in the holidays. The both absolutely love going to nursery, especially the outdoor area, growing vegetables and looking after the animals. The staff take excellent care of this children, and gave my eldest daughter an excellent head start at school where she was leaps and bounds ahead of the other children.I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.
