How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff and managers take swift action when they recognise that children require additional support. They work with families to request advice from outside agencies and collaborate with these agencies to enhance the delivery of education for children with identified needs.

Outdoor space

Outside, children practise climbing up steps and travel down the slide. Older children climb and travel over grassy mounds and through tunnels, exploring different ways of moving outdoors.

I had a terrible experience at this nursery. My daughter lasted 6 months and even that was because I had to wait to find the best replacement. Also she was hardly there her last month. Although some of the staff are lovely, the manager is not very organised and often had to be corrected. For example, I had an issue with her lack of communication when I first joined, I queried the immediate payment date she hadn’t told me about until after my daughter had already started, she tried to refer me to the contract I signed, I then reread the contract and told her that is not in there, she replied thank you for bringing this to my attention, we will update the contract. While under 1 in the baby room, my daughter had 3 incident reports over 3 weeks, one of her injuries included getting a fat lip because she wasn’t being watched properly by staff. The excuse they gave was she is very fast for her age. She often came home with a thick layer of dirt on her socks. I questioned how often the rooms got cleaned and was clearly lied to. Since asking that question they often kept my daughters shoes on to avoid me seeing this again. My daughter was sick every other week at this nursery, I often questioned what I was paying them for. She never had nappy rash at home, but since starting at this nursery she often got rashes that magically went away the second she was off nursery for longer periods of time. I had to ask them to change her nappy more regular and use the nappy rash cream I provided. They were often understaffed and dumped all kids from all rooms in one room to cut staffing costs. This I feel led to more bugs and sickness throughout the nursery. I kid you not, my daughter caught hand, foot and mouth at this nursery, when she recovered went back to nursery for a few days then caught a vomiting and diarrhoea bug at nursery, recovered, went back in for one day, then caught the same vomiting and diarrhoea bug again. That was when I didn’t even do the full month’s notice after already paying and being due to work, I still pulled her out early. I don’t think the rooms and toys got cleaned anywhere near often enough and every one but my daughter seemed to attend nursery while sick. This caused me a lot of stress over the 6 month period, but what do they care, they got paid either way. I’m just glad my daughter is now happy in a much better nursery.

I send my daughter here currently and she is in the baby room. I couldn’t be happier. Julie and Georgie are great. They have helped settle her in so well. The nursery is really clean and nice. The garden area is also very nice. I went to so many nurseries and when I found this one I knew it was the right one. Definitely recommend !! Thankyou
