Conveniently situated near the M3 and M25, the nursery benefits from local amenities such as woodlands, a park, and recreational grounds, which are regularly explored during walks.
The facility is divided into a Baby Room for infants aged 0-2 years and a Preschool for children aged 2-5 years. They provide flexible session options including full-day (8 am-6 pm) and half-day (8 am-12:30 pm or 1:15 pm-5:45 pm), with additional early drop-off and late pick-up services available for an extra fee.
The nursery operates 51 weeks a year, closing only on bank holidays and for a period between December 24th and January 2nd. Puffin's emphasises strong relationships with families to ease children into nursery life, believing in open communication to deliver exceptional care.
Their dedicated team undergoes regular training to enhance their skills, and a bank team is employed to ensure consistent staffing. Established in September 2020, Puffin's operates on a philosophy that prioritises celebrating and nurturing each child, offering unique opportunities for success within their early years.
The environment is designed to foster individual development through activities aligned with the Early Years statutory framework and Birth to Five Matters, preparing children for school transitions. Outdoor exploration is a daily activity, regardless of weather, with a well-equipped garden and frequent walks through local natural areas.

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents say that they appreciate the daily verbal feedback about their children's day at the setting, weekly photos and the activities given to them to support children's learning at home.
Inclusion & environment
The support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and children who speak English as an additional language is a strength of the nursery. Staff quickly identify children who need additional support and work effectively with parents and other professionals to put targeted strategies in place, tailored to children's needs and preferences, resulting in good progress.
Children have many opportunities to play and enjoy exploring outside. They enjoy regular trips to the local park, woodlands and around their own local community. Older children have their coordination and fine motor skills supported well through activities like building dinosaur worlds, while younger children enjoy moving to music.
