About this day nursery

Rainbow Corner Windlesham Ltd offers year-round nursery and pre-school care in a family-run setting. Located in Windlesham, Surrey, the nursery operates from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday, closing only for public bank holidays and three days over Christmas.

Emphasising a home-from-home atmosphere, the nursery is proud of its extensive forest school, allowing children ample opportunities to explore the outdoors. The curriculum is built around core values of respect, resilience, confidence, kindness, inclusiveness, and aspiration, which are encouraged daily through their unique 'value heroes' system.

Children benefit from a 'free flow' environment that allows them to learn through play and make their own choices, with dedicated key persons supporting and developing their individual interests. Rainbow Corner Windlesham is committed to involving parents in all aspects of their child’s development and progress, maintaining an open-door policy and regular communication.

Our ethos

Our core values that we encourage children to demonstrate and develop on a day-to-day basis are: Respect, Resilience, Confidence, Kindness, Inclusiveness, Aspiration. In order to support children in demonstrating these core values, we have our very own value hero’s that we use, in having discussions with children, encouraging children, and praising children. All the time we are allowing children the time to learn through their own play, we do not need to be forcing them to join in with set activities, they are not going to learn if they do not want to take part in the first place. By allowing children to learn through themselves and creating a stimulating free flow environment with continuous resourced play provision, it enables children to flourish. This allows for key persons to capture the teaching moments and seize the opportunities to further enhance and develop a child’s learning, by supporting and encouraging them to think deeper and draw on what they already know.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff are exemplary in supporting children with emerging special educational needs and/or disabilities. They set up small intervention groups to support communication and social skills. The special educational needs coordinator collaborates with health visitors, educational psychologists, and occupational therapists to devise strategies and targets, which are shared with parents for a consistent approach.

Outdoor space

Children's physical health and well-being is promoted really well through outdoor play and forest school adventures. They are encouraged to take appropriate risks under the careful supervision of staff. For example, babies and young children delight in launching themselves into the ball pit and lay there making imaginary snow angels with their arms and legs.

Our daughter attended this nursery for about two years, and we were always extremely happy with the care and environment provided. The staff were warm, supportive and genuinely cared about her wellbeing and development. She loved going in each day and learned so much during her time there. I would highly recommend this nursery!

Our family has had a fantastic experience with the nursery. Our eldest daughter cherished her time there, starting from the baby room and continuing until she transitioned to school. Now, our youngest daughter is equally happy and thriving in the baby room. The staff are consistently caring and patient and create a nurturing environment where both our daughters have flourished, thank you Rainbow Corner!!
