Inclusion & environment
Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities effectively, including children who receive extra funding. They work closely with the child's family and other professionals. Achievable targets are set and appropriate adaptations are made to the environment and activities.
Staff provide daily opportunities for children to play outside in the fresh air. Children confidently climb the steps of the slide, smile as they descend and eagerly take a second turn. Managers and staff plan to make further improvements to the outdoor area to enhance the children's development when they play outside.
My son started rising stars and he has thrived in every way. My son was born with complex needs being three months premature, when he started he was 14 months old, and unable to sit or crawl, at 18 months he is sitting, bum shuffling, eating every thing that is given to him and even saying a few words, he recognises songs and music, he dances and he is so much more confident than when he started. Nothing has been too much for the team - everything my son needed he has got, and everyone believed in him. He has absolutely thrived in every way and I truly could not be happier with the support and care my son received from this nursery. Communication is fantastic, the staff make such an effort to get to know you and your child and the environment is enriching and vibrant. My son has had so many opportunities and we are so grateful we found this nursery.
