Snapdragons Nursery Atworth, established in 1998, offers childcare for children aged 1 to 4 years. 30pm, the nursery provides a stimulating environment where children thrive.

The dedicated staff, known for their nurturing approach, build strong relationships with children and parents, ensuring every child feels secure and ready to learn. The nursery offers a broad and balanced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, with a particular strength in mathematics, guiding children to develop independence, communication skills, and a love for exploration, both indoors and outdoors.

Leaders proactively support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those learning English as an additional language (EAL), ensuring all children achieve well and confidently express themselves. The nursery's commitment to healthy living is evident through its pursuit of a gold standard by an environmental body and a nutritious, locally sourced menu.

They aim to nurture children's enthusiasm for learning, supporting their development into confident, well-rounded individuals with a connection to nature.

What it's like

Staff organise play spaces to meet children's interests and developmental next steps, using a new curriculum aligned with statutory guidance to support individual needs. Children enjoy exploring both indoors and outdoors, forming strong attachments with the nurturing staff. They make choices, learn new words, and develop independence, preparing them for future learning and school.

Pricing & funding

At Snapdragons, we stretch the funding to offer it throughout the year. Your child's annual funding entitlement of either 570 hours or 1140 hours will be applied to your booking over 51 weeks. If your child is eligible for 15 hours, you will receive 11 hours per week all year round. A child eligible for 30 hours will receive 22 hours per week all year round. The only exception is children new to funding in the summer term who attend one of our nurseries in South Gloucestershire or Wiltshire. We offer funding alongside an Enhanced Provision Charge (EPC) for each funded hour. The EPC covers all meals, snacks, activities, resources, daily consumables (nappies, wipes), and contributes to staff wellbeing and communication platforms.
