Sunflowers Day Nursery, established in 1997, offers comprehensive day care for children from 3 months to 5 years old. Owned and managed by Maxine Neale and Louise Johnson, who together bring over 50 years of childcare expertise, the nursery operates year-round from Monday to Friday with opening hours from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Children form strong relationships with staff and feel able to ask for help when needed, resulting in them feeling happy, confident and safe to explore the setting.
Fees are structured as hourly rates for unfunded sessions, which vary across three age groups. The nursery charges separate rates for an early bird session, while funded sessions incur specific food costs. Voluntary hourly charges also apply for consumables and enhanced provision.

Inclusion & environment
The experienced special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) works with the rest of the team to identify when children may need extra support. She trains staff to use different strategies with particular children to help them access the same education as their peers. She refers children for support from external professionals when needed and works with parents to ensure that all children make the best possible progress.
Children develop their physical skills in carefully designed outdoor spaces. They learn about how to keep fit and healthy.
