30 pm, Monday to Friday, all year round, providing childcare for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery, rated 'Good' by Ofsted in its latest inspection on 25 January 2024, fosters a warm and nurturing environment where children quickly settle and form strong bonds with staff.

Children, including those who are not yet talking, confidently express their thoughts and feelings, for example, using gestures to request songs. The curriculum, developed with input from parents and children, focuses on developing independence, understanding emotions, confident communication, and fostering curious and active learners.

Staff effectively use assessments to tailor activities and support each child's unique learning journey. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make good progress, benefiting from staff who teach simple sign language to aid communication.

Similarly, children who speak English as an additional language (EAL) are well-supported, with staff working with families to nurture both their home language and English skills. This inclusive approach celebrates diverse cultures, with parents recording stories in their native languages for all children to enjoy, enriching their sense of belonging.

SEND provision

Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning and development. Staff use assessments effectively to determine children's next steps in learning. Additionally, staff teach children simple sign language to help them communicate before they have developed their spoken vocabulary, which particularly helps children with SEND.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language are fully included within the provision. Staff work with families to support the development of children's language skills in their home language as well as English. Staff share children's home languages and cultures with all children, with parents recently recording themselves reading stories in their native tongue for all children to listen to. This helps develop children's sense of belonging as well as their language skills. Simple sign language also helps children who speak English as an additional language to communicate.
