Tiggywinkles Pre-School, established in 2017, provides a nurturing home-from-home environment for children aged 2 to 4 years in Windsor. The pre-school operates Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM during term time.
Staff are highly skilled at supporting children's individual needs, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those who speak English as an additional language (EAL). For instance, children who struggle with communication are supported with signs and visual aids, and EAL children are introduced to new vocabulary in small, manageable steps.
Leaders prioritise supporting children's independence and offer abundant opportunities for physical development, such as exploring textured tiles and using a challenging balance beam. The curriculum is highly effective and ambitious, focusing on all areas of learning and development.
Children are encouraged to explore through trial and error and develop a love for books, with story sacks and daily reading books sent home.

Inclusion & environment
Staff sensitively modify routines to support all children's individual needs, including those with SEND, proactively providing adaptations like signs and visual aids for communication challenges. Leaders effectively use funding for staff training, including autism awareness to ensure needs are quickly identified and supported. Predictable routines are especially beneficial for children with SEND.
The pre-school offers abundant opportunities for all children to develop physical skills, with younger children exploring textured tiles and older children refining balance and coordination using a challenging balance beam.
Children who speak English as an additional language are introduced to new vocabulary in small, manageable steps, building confidence and language skills to form a strong foundation for future learning.
My daughter attends Tiggywinkles and we have been there for a couple of months now. The preschool is fantastic and I could not recommend it more. I have never been to a teaching environment that has such a warm family feel. Julie and her team are the most caring group of teachers I could wish for and they really do put such an effort in to every day my daughter attends. She has come on so much with her speech and development in such a short space of time and really cannot thank Julie, Olivia and the rest of the team enough.
Read on GoogleJulie and her team have gone above and beyond to helping children exceed their potential. The TiggyWinkles Team are honest, kind and passionate in all that they do. Our Peter will miss each and every single one of the incredible teachers as he prepares for Big school. If you’re looking for a school that puts your child first and helps them grow in necessary skills but also in a way that pursues your child’s interest then I cannot recommend TiggyWinkles enough. Speaking as a parent who has tried many nurseries who are part of corporate chains, TiggyWinkles far exceeds each and everyone one of those, when you join this school you are welcomed into a community with a strong family sense. Listen to their advise, lean into their knowledge for they truly are transforming education in England.
