How they support every child

Outdoor space

Children play regularly outdoors as part of the daily routine. Staff plant tomatoes with children in the garden to teach them how things grow and go on bug hunts. Children also learn physical skills like climbing ladders and balancing on planks, and practise throwing and catching balls in group games. The manager plans to develop the outdoor area further to provide more exploratory opportunities for children. A review of the use of the pre-school environment should be undertaken to enhance provision for older children who learn best outdoors.

This is an amazing nursery. All three of my children have gone here, and Sofie and her wonderful staff team are the best. My personal experience is of a wonderfully caring environment coupled with an individual approach to each child's learning. Staff are so kind and my two daughters and son, now 13, 8 and 6, had such a great first start thanks to their time at the Whitehouse.
